Amazon’s New Kindle Fire Coming on September 6

For some time already Amazon has stopped being just a store– they’ve started making their own devices, too. Their most famous gadget is the Kindle Fire tablet – measuring at 7 inches and being priced at only $199, it has already sold thousands of copies, and now, inspired by this success, Amazon has decided to release a sequel to it.

Amazon is organizing a mysterious press conference on September 6, and most geeks agree that the company is planning to introduce the new Kindle Fire there. Though I have to mention that some others think it will only be a new mobile phone made by the same Amazon (which was also rumored a while ago) and not the much awaited tablet. However, it’ll be rather hard for Amazon to stand against the competition if they launch a phone – it’ll have to stand against such beast as the Samsung Galaxy S3, SonyXperia SL and many others.

So we don’t know for sure if it’ll be the new Kindle Fire on September 6, but the chances are big that it will be. Neither do we know anything about the possible specs of this new tablet. Will it be a 7-inch one like its predecessor? Or will Amazon decide to change the size of the new Kindle Fire and make it bigger after all? Many geeks agree that 7 inches is the best size for such tablets, but the competition here is very high, too. Will Amazon’s gadget be able to beat the Android-based Google Nexus 7 or the upcoming iPad Mini (with a 7.85-inch screen), which is also rumored to be launched soon?

Anyway, September 6 will clear everything out. By the way, it’s only a day after two other major events in the mobile world – on September 5 Motorola and Verizon are going to introduce the Motorola Droid Razr HD, and Nokia and Microsoft are expected to show their first Windows Phone 8-based Lumia phones. On the one hand, there’s a risk that Amazon’s announcement will be lost among the other news of those days. On the other hand, on September 12 Apple’s also planning an event, and most likely they’ll show the new iPhone 5there. So perhaps for Amazon it’s less risky to compete against Motorola and Nokia instead of Apple. And of course it’ll be less risky than delaying the new Kindle Fire tablet for too long.
