Smartphones are now invading the mobile market, threatening to eradicate conventional mobile phones. We all know Smartphones are entirely different from ordinary mobile phones as there types of mobiles have the capability to do almost everything. Once you have a Smartphone, there is seemingly no end to what it allows you to do. Smartphones enable the user to connect through the Internet faster. Moreover, Smartphones give the user the power to choose from thousands of applications that give thousands of services ranging from entertainment to GPS tracking.
The almost limitless apps give users the almost limitless choice for entertainment, communication, business, marketing, finances, health and much more. We all know the Smartphone’s capability to provide us with these, but what are other things we don’t know about Smartphones?

Smartphones May Slowly be Changing Our Lives but Not for the Better
Smartphones have many uses that can be both entertaining and helpful for people. But what people do not know are the bad effects Smartphones have, and these effects often go unnoticed. According to some experts, Smartphones may be changing our lives slowly, but this change may not be for our benefit.

1. They Might Be Ruining A Good Vacation
The thing with Smartphones is the get you connected with people on almost a 24/7 basis. SMS, Email, Free Messaging Apps, Call, Video Call, Voice call, etc. These features are particularly useful for those in the business, marketing and finance industry who need to be updated on a consistent basis. It is great while you work, but not so great when you are on vacation or when you are enjoying some quality family time. An article reported one boss from LA called an employee when an employee failed to respond to an email sent via Blackberry SIM, even asking the employee to leave her child’s baseball game.

2. When You’re Hooked, You’re Hooked
Apparently it is not only smoking and alcohol that can be addictive. Certain experts observe and believe use of Smartphones can also strike some kind of addiction among its users. A Michigan State professor says, if Smartphones are used to relieve stress after a day’s work, a person can become hooked, and once a person becomes hooked, getting away from that comfort might be difficult. There is also growing evidence that people develop a sense of compulsionor anxiety from Smartphone use. Users are characterized to have an eagerness to know and respond to certain information immediately and may develop fear that they are missing out on important things or that something else is going on if they do not check on their Smartphones.

3. Where’s The Etiquette Now?
Etiquette for meetings and social gatherings will never be the same. Nowadays, we see people bending over, trying to hide themselves as best as they can just to check on their Smartphones.
